DSA Space Coast

Space Coast DSA (SCDSA) Organizing Committee (OC) was originally formed in 2017 on the growing wave of interest in socialism nationwide. After two years we formally adopted a set of Bylaws and in 2019 were formally recognized as an official chapter. We engage in a number of projects as a chapter from protests and tabling events to mutual aid programs and political campaigns. If you’re interested in these endeavours or just furthering your ideological education, all are welcome in our spaces member or not.

I speak here for myself only.

I hear Brevard County voters say nobody good can get elected here - I disagree.

Socialism is Social Security, school teachers, fire fighters,
fire hydrants, street lamps, national parks,
everything good in our society.

Socialism will win Medicaid for All - health care is a human right.

You may ask, who pays? We pay and pay, way more than our fair share.
Billionaires always cheat on their taxes - IRS always turns a blind eye.

The major parties are two sides of one coin - heads we win, tails you lose.
Empty talk of Liberty and Justice, Danger and Duty - they try to divide us
and it works - they pick our pockets while we argue against each other!

When our nation was founded, only rich men could vote.
Politicians chuckle
“Son, it's not who does the voting,
it's who does the counting”
but we are many and they are few.

We oppose their Bribery and Corruption,
Judges who bless the rich and damn the poor,
Sheriffs who beat you up if you demand an even break,
Corporate gangsters who murder, steal and burn our lives,
Bankers who inflate away our paychecks until they pop like balloons,
Oligarchs who evade taxes while we shoulder the burden of forever wars,
Reporters who parrot the Party Line - they never tell you the whole story.

A better world is possible. The people, united, will never be defeated!
